Meet Becky

I grew up in cute little town in northern Arizona called Snowflake. Growing up I liked staying active by playing sports and I was always trying to think of anything to do to be entertained. That was sometimes hard to do in a town that had 1 grocery store & no stop lights:) All that being said I absolutely loved it!

After high school I met the love of my life, Rick on a blind date. The first thing I noticed about him was his bright blue eyes and gorgeous smile. We hit it off right away and I found myself laughing all the time. I feel so lucky to be married to my best friend, that is a hard worker, funny, and super hot:) Every day I fall more and more in love with him!

I loved playing sports in high school and college, and was very competitive. To this day I am still competitive.  I enjoy playing volleyball, softball, swimming, running, going to the gym and I love doing triathlons. I love the sense of accomplishment after a triathlon or a race (LOVE RAGNAR...run, drive, sleep? Repeat!!)!  I also enjoy reading (if I have some down time!), hiking and camping.

About 5 years later our first little miracle was born. Then after a few months we found out we had another little boy on the way! I was thrilled...and lets be honest a little scared. They are 11 months apart and they keep me on my toes! They can be angels and sometimes monsters.  Being their mom is such a joy and privilege.  A couple years later our little princess was born! I LOVE having a girl...she is the sweetest little girl you will ever meet!  The boys adore her and she is always the center of attention in our home.

During those years without kids we were able to travel a lot.  Even now with kids we love seeing new places, especially if it is hot and tropical:) There are so many beautiful places in the world! I developed a love for snorkeling, surfing and.....baseball games! Rick has a passion for baseball. It is his goal to see all the baseball stadiums. So far we have been to 18, only 12 to go! I love every second of it:)!
I also stay busy doing service for our church.  We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, also known as Mormons.  I have been able to gain a lot of great experiences from serving others. Thanks for reading a little bit about me and I hope you look forward to finding out more! ~Becky

  9. I just wanted to say Hi and WOW! I found someone from Snowflake on blogger. Is that just crazy or what? A small world I guess. My entire extended family lives there; really, has always lived there. Anyhow... Just wanted to say Hi! I love using your backgrounds for my blog. :)

    Thank you!

  10. I realize you now have your hands full. My husband and I traveled the world for a few years before I got pregnant. If I could encourage you to see any place in the world... it would be the Bitterroot valley. the scenery is heaven! walk into a diner (your order may be slow coming) but watch the people around you, everyone is so good-hearted here. Paradise.

You should really venture to this area. It is heaven!

  13. Help! I have downloaded one of your free blog templates and need a little help making it look right. I LOVE it and have looked for months for something perfect...I tried to access your community to ask the question there but keep getting bumped out with an error code. Can you email me? CyndiLJ@aol.com . I am willing to pay for some help to fix this. thanks for the wonderful backgrounds and helpful web site! Your instructions were easy to follow, finally, for a dumby like me!

I have a couple of things I need to fix...like to balance the left and right column with the background, and can;t for the life of me figure out how to get the comments section to come up at the bottom of the post instead of the top!

    Thanks so much!

  16. Hi! I just have a question for you or Ashley! I tried to get on the Community but couldn't access it...and its really just a question for one of you two anyway. I was wondering if you do gift certificates for your custom blog design. I was wanting to get that for my best friend b/c its something she wants to do, but wouldn't ever get it for herself. If so, please let me know how I can purchase one! Thank you!!!! ~Beth (osuhealth@yahoo.com)

  17. Your designs are the cutest! Thank you so much for actually giving me some cute wordpress themes. I couldn't find anything that wasn't so plain with just a photograph that has nothing to do with my site. I couldn't find your email, so I'm posting here just to let you know that the Madison Avenue Wordpress theme says it's corrupt. I've also had several times in the last few days where your tcbotb site says it can't connect to the database. You might know, but I'd thought I'd let you know in case you didn't.

  23. Hi Becky!
I came over because of your blog design tutorials--I am really on a huge learning curve! (Now on fonts.) I don't know why I haven't done this before, though, because it is so fun to "meet" you--I have been using your extras, blinkies and other resources since I started blogging (a little over a year ago now). In your Christmas card, (I'm assuming it's your own house) I saw and loved your drapes and wall color and thought immediately (besides noticing the lovely family you have:) "Oh! I love her decorating!!" Thanks for sharing about your life and family! It was really fun to hear about you.
Blessings, and keep up the creative work!

  27. Love , love, love your banners and backgrounds! I have used the cherry design for my blog banner and background and I get a lot of compliments about it (I have credited you of course!)
I have a question about the TOU of the banner, in particular: http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/free/free-backgrounds/item/727/asInline.html
I was wanting to use this design for my new business cards and would like some more information from you about how I can go about this without infringing on copyright. Could you please email me at mrssewsos[@]gmail[.]com

  31. I LOVE being able to use your backgrounds for my blog! But when I view my blog on my iPhone or iPad the background doesn't show up until I've scrolled way down the page. Since more and more people are reading blogs on mobile devices I'm sure you've dealt with this problem. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there something I need to add to the code? Please help.

  32. Hi Becky,

Love the backgrounds. I was going through some of them and wanted to let you all know that surfer girl and the two hearts won't work in wordpress. When attempting to install the twohearts, I keep getting Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure

Thanks so much for the beautiful work,
    Julie (lynne.waldial@gmail.com)

  33. Hi Julie! Thanks for letting us know about those wordpress themes. They are now fixed and ready to use:)
    Have a great day!

  34. Oh Dear! I think I might have made a mistake when posting my comment, so dont know if it went through! (Like I said in that comment, I am not computer savvy, so...) :o)

Hm...let me try to repeat myself:
It was so fun reading and learning a little more about you here. I appreciate you commenting on my post I posted on the group blog I belong to. I hope that you are able to visit my personal blog some time: www.personalizedsketchesandsentiments.blogspot.com.

And thank you both for your skills, gift and talent to all that you share with us that are blog related. I was wondering if you have a tutorial on how to change the font style on our blogs. (This is where I said I am not computer savvy and thus is partly why I am able to barely get one post up each week! haha It takes me a long time to get a post together). Anyways...thank you again!

    Blessings & Aloha!

  36. I don't see your GFC widget so I will follow as soon as it comes back.

    ReplyDelete
  37. hi, i follow you on GFC, and i need some help. i have asked other people as well. i'm just waiting for anyone to get back with me. first, i would like to say thank you for all of your information [i WILL be blogging about you girls!] i built my site in 1 day thanks to you AFTER working on it for literally 2 weeks straight. [sigh]. but, here's my question/delima.

i added pages/tabs on my site for topics [so far a tab about myself and husband and of course our children "when the fruit come out and play"] but i really want to write more posts for the kids page, because they are so funny. i can't figure out how to add the post to that page and not the home page.

for instance, i would LOVE to write tutorials on little crafts such as a necklace i'm going to be making or a wreath or the next piece of furniture i build. and, i want there to be a page just for those tutorials...i know how to make the page...i know how to post on the page. but, i do not know how to post additional posts that are NOT attatched to the first one...

help!!! after working for 2 weeks straight and finally making my page all pretty...i'm stuck AGAIN! =( oh help!

    thank you!!!!

  40. Hi, love your designs! I'm currently using one on my blog (not published yet)and am using blogger, which doesn't have a menu in the coding. I wonder if you have any templates with a menu or if you have any tutorials on how to make a menu in blogger? I have seen many tutorials on the web, but I like your designs and wondered if you might have some? Thanks, really appreciate it! God bless!
