Hoping to Adopt

Adoption is such a beautiful thing.  The decision to place an infant for adoption can be a wrenching one, yet it is an act of selflessness and profound love.  Adoption can be the greatest gift to not only
the adoptive family, but for the birth mother and baby.

Our amazing friends Heather and Joseph are wanting to start their family and are looking to adopt.  They were blessed with  being able to foster Carson, a 3 month old baby boy, and love him as their own.   Everyone told them that he would legally be theirs in about 6 months.  In their hearts he was already their baby.  It  breaks my heart....after almost 2 years of  Joseph and Heather being Carsons Mom and Dad, the court decided to let the biological father take Carson back.  They were of course devastated and heartbroken.  They are now starting their journey to adopt!!

If you know anyone considering placing their baby for adoption please take a moment to read Heather and Joseph's story HERE.  You will see what a wonderful couple they are.   Help us help them and spread the word!!

  2. My heart breaks for your friends and I pray for them, not only for peace with what happened but that God will send just the right child to them. I know what they've gone through. My son and his wife were foster parents for several years. They eventually adopted 4 of the children (2 sets of siblings) they fostered. It's gut wrenching to say the least when you have a child/children for years and they are returned.

  3. One of my best friends adopted two siblings a few years ago. The Lord blessed them with their own biological son shortly after. The Lord had a plan for them and I have no doubt that he does for this precious couple as well.

Another one of my best friends is a foster parent and is dealing with the same issue. They have had one particular little girl for months, but are worried that she will be placed back with her father soon. It is extremely emotional and I commend anyone that makes the decision to foster or adopt.

The two ladies I mentioned above now teach local classes to families that are interested in fostering or adoption.

I am praying for God's will for Heather and Joseph!

  6. I feel horrible leaving a comment here, but don't see any way to search your blog for the appropriate post or to email you. I tried your new tutorial on adding numbers to comments in Blogger, and it didn't work- still no numbers. I'm wondering how new that info is- couldn't find a date- as I've heard that many of these tuts won't work now with the new Blogger comment thread layout. Is there any updated info you could share? I'm desperate to find a way to get my numbered comments back!

  9. This story breaks my heart. The bio-mom was a hero - putting her child ahead of herself. I don't know the whole story... maybe he was unaware of the pregnancy and adoption. So many women lie about it - and I feel badly for those bio-donators. (I hesitate to call them "fathers".) But anyone who would yank a little boy from his PARENTS, after two years... seems to be doing it for purely selfish reasons! I wish you well...and I pray the best is yet to come! I wish I could be a surrogate...
