How to get your minima template back! (Updated August 2012)

Okay, so many of you probably have already discovered blogger's new template designer that has now been rolled out. As fun as it is to play around in there, you may have accidentally changed your template without knowing it!  So here's the fix to get your minima template back:

We feel SO GRATEFUL to have you as our faithful loyal users who came and switched your codes. We know there are still a few of you who will need to come and switch codes, so if you continue to have questions, let us know.

If you lost your background and can't remember the name of it to get it back, let us know and we'll try to help you remember what it was!

IN OTHER NEWS:

It looks like we went way above the 1000 followers mark this week. YAY! So on Tuesday check back to find our first giveaway in our 'month of giveaways' event!

How to switch the code on your background

Looking to update your blog background code so you don't lose it when photobucket shuts down our account?

First go to your design page.  Find where you put your background code, it will say HTML/JavaScript.  Click the edit button next to it..

Then find the part of the code where is says:  

i342.photobucket.com/albums/o401/Thecutestblogontheblock/

 You will replace that code with this:

thecutestblogontheblock.com/backgrounds/

Click Save.  This will update your background and you do not have to worry about losing it tomorrow.  Everything should look the exact same.  The same tag in the left hand corner will be on there until we switch it back to the original tag.  Hope this helps!!

The RUNDOWN:

Recently we got an email from Photobucket.com, who hosted all of our background images, letting us know that we were one of the top 50 of their 700million account holders in popularity. All of our fabulous users (you) put us right at the top of all of the other blog background sites out there, so thank you! As cool as this news was, it also presented a bit of an issue for us and photobucket: Money.

So this left Becky and I in a pickle, as Photobucket could no longer foot the bill for our bandwidth usage. We searched high and low for other ways to host your backgrounds in an affordable way so that we could continue to do what we love. After racking our brains, we found a new permanent place to call home for all of your images! Yay!

The next step in this process is for us to remove all of the images from being hosted on photobucket. This will be happening on Friday, July 23rd, 2010. This will automatically remove the background from your blog (unless you have purchased a custom blog design).

Let’s look at the bright side: This gives you the chance to go back to our site and check out all of the pretty new designs we have there and choose your favorite for a fresh new blog design. Don’t worry, you’ll find all of the ‘past’ popular designs are still there too. We know you’ll find something you love!

We want to thank all of our fabulous, good looking, smart, and totally awesome fans for sticking with us through everything. Becky and I are genuinely so excited to continue to offer you free cute designs for your blogs!!!
